Cyanine5 amine是含有氨基基团的活性染料，是Cy5® amine的类似物。该试剂可以和很多活化酯和亲电子试剂相结合。比如，该氨基可以和EDC活化的羧基基团反应。
这种高亮度的耐光的染料适合很多种不同的荧光检测试验。用肉眼即可很容易的观察到痕量（纳摩尔）的这种颜色丰富的荧光团。
